Cédula EC Validator

Ecuadorian cédula (national ID) · Issuer: Registro Civil. Onboarding, SRI invoicing with cédula, forms.

Format

10 digits: province (01–24 or 30), third digit < 6, 6 digits and a check digit.

Check-digit algorithm

1. Luhn-like mod 10: weights 2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2.
2. If a product exceeds 9, subtract 9.
3. DV = (10 − sum mod 10) mod 10.
